Mkomazi carnivore project
Is a non-government organization started June 2019 for carnivores research, conservation and community livelihoods. The Mkomazi Carnivore Project conducts lion monitoring, conservation and community outreach programs which aim to increase knowledge on conservation of carnivores, their habitats and prey to surrounding communities. This will be achieved through linking conservation activities and community livelihood. Community Outreach program includes participation of local people in conservation activities, information sharing, and collaborative control of problems caused by carnivores. This will leads to better neighborhoods and increased awareness of carnivores and later their support for conservation by implementing science based strategies.
